American Music Awards

The annual American Music Awards features a star-studded lineup of music's top performers and honors artists in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational. The American Music Awards were created by showman Dick Clark in 1973 as an alternative to the Grammy Awards.

Country Music Awards

Country Music’s brightest stars descend on Nashville each year for the CMA’s. Recognized worldwide as “Country Music’s Biggest Night™,” the CMA Awards represent achievement in the Country Music industry. Music lovers coast-to-coast gather to celebrate America’s music.

Past winners include Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Trace Adkins, and Zac Brown Band.

ESPY Awards

The ESPYs represents Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards for individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance. Last year, the awards show was hosted for the second consecutive year by "Saturday Night Live" comic Seth Meyers. The style is more relaxed and self-referential than that of many other awards shows, with comedic sketches usually included. The ESPYs are probably most noted for its contribution to charity, as a portion of the proceeds is donated to The V Foundation, named for its founder, Jim Valvano. Nominees will be officially announced in June 2012.

Emmy Awards
